Seasons change and so do the names of our favorite trendy hair colors. Call it what you want but one trend remains the same and I call it "beach hair". Living near the coast in San Diego I keep a close eye on the sun kissed colors I see in children's and surfer's hair. My goal as a colorist is to recreate those natural sun kissed looks I see for my clients.
My daughter, Ally, is my favorite subject. Ally is a natural medium brown. I recently cut over 6 inches off of her hair and went much blonder than we ever have before. Thanks to Olaplex I was able to do this without any damage. I lightened Allys ends with Schwarzkopf color and did very tiny babylight highlights throughout her crown with bold face framing pieces. The result is a beautiful beach blonde with minimal maintenance giving her the best of both worlds, blonde and brunette.

Bronde color is the best of both worlds! It is the most current fall hair color trend. Bronde is not blonde or brunette. It's somewhere in between.
Erin is a dark natural blonde. She was looking for a deeper color without loosing her light golden blonde ends. I deepened her color in her crown using a demi permanent color to a warm caramel. Demi permanent color does not contain ammonia and ensures no damage to Erin's hair while coloring. A also added minimal low lights of some of the caramel color through her ends to add dimension and depth. Next, I added tiny golden highlights throughout her crown to add sparkle and melt in to her already lightened ends. Another benefit of the demi permanent gloss is that over time it will fade and lighten and when she is ready to go back to blonde it will be a easy transition.

Full Highlight with Schwarzhopf Bleach and Olaplex
I am loving Olaplex. I can now take my blonde clients blonder and push the limits farther with zero damage. Lauren has been getting highlights with me for over a year now. Today she decided she wanted to do a very light platinum blonde highlight creating the look of an overall lighter color. She is a natural medium to light ash blonde with very fine, fragile hair. I used Schwarzhopf bleach with Olaplex. Becuse of Olaplex I was able to color root to ends over her previously lightened hair without compromising the health or integrity of her hair. The end result was even shinier than before coloriong and her hair felt stonger than ever.
I'm excited to announce I am now offering Olaplex in addition to my color services in my salon. Olaplex repairs bonds broken during thermal, chemical, and mechanical services. Go lighter with no breakage. Olaplex will make your hair stronger, healthier, and your color last longer.

Christina has been my client for quite some time. Over the years I have been giving her a deep espresso gloss and Brazilian Blowouts. She was ready for a change and interested in Ombre highlighting. She wanted a very subtle change that looked natural. Christina wears her hair straight most often so a seamless graduation of color was a must. She takes very good care of her hair and keeping it healthy was also top priority.
I gave her "Sombre" hair- "soft ombre". A more subtle look than Ombre color. I graduated a subtly lighter color through her ends with some face framing pieces. Next, I gave Christina a Brazilian Blowout. The result, exceptionally shiny hair with color transitioning from her deep espresso brown to a beautiful rich, warm caramel throughout ends.

Bye bye Ombré, hello Babylights!
Yes! Its time for change in haircolor trends and I always love natural looking color. Babylight highlights mimic the look of a child's hair after being the sun and are great for both blondes and brunettes. Read on....http://www.byrdie.com/hair-highlight-ideas/
